Cast

Aba Amuquandoh is an actress, writer, stand up comedian as well as a sketch comedy writer and performer. She has performed with U of T's Sketch Follies, The Sketchersons and you can sometimes catch her at Bad Dog doing a set for events such as Coko Galore’s Kiss and Tell, Nelu Handa’s Yas Kween and many more. Aba was a featured comedian for Las Culturistas I Don’t Think So Honey, hosted by Matt Rogers and Dave Mizzoni. Matt is happy to be part of such an amazing show. He is a graduate of Second City’s Conservatory Program, and Algonquin college’s Theatre program. He is a Toronto area actor, sketch performer and improvisor who’s previous works include Urban Legends (History Channel), Dual Suspects (Global) and Erik The Pilllager (Mondo). Matt can also be seen around Toronto performing with his sketch duo Palcoholics. He sincerely hopes you enjoy the show, and maybe afterwards you could buy him a brew or two!

Alex Kolanko is a writer and comedian in Toronto. He co-created and runs the show Fake Cops Present The Disaster as well as performed in multiple cities around North America with Fake Cops. With the video collective Public Works he created Shitty Tasty and other video series.

Colin Sharpe is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and York University Creative Writing programs. He is a founding member of Cream of Comedy nominated/Toronto Fringe Patron Pick winning sketch troupe, The Weaker Vessels, and his solo performances have been acclaimed by The Toronto Star and The Grid. You can see Colin on the comedy circuit as a member of Social Capital Theatre improv team Artistic Directors of Marketing, and every Sunday at the Comedy Bar as a member of award winning troupe, The Sketchersons.

Marshall Lorenzo hails from Auckland, New Zealand, Zealandia, Oceania, Human Planet. He performs sketch regularly with his troupe ‘Panacea™’, the latter winning rave reviews and a 5N rating in Now Magazine for their 2015 review, as well as the cover story and theatre pick for the 2015 Hamilton Fringe in View Magazine and was also named one of the top 5 shows to see at the 2015 Toronto Sketchfest and performed in the 2016 Toronto Sketchfest. He performed as part of the Toronto Fringe ensemble sketch show ‘Everything is Fine’ to rave reviews, and last year wrote the book and lyrics to a sixty-minute disco musical about Marineland for the 2015 Toronto Fringe that critics hated, garnering reviews such as “Why disco?” and “WTF”. Marshall is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory (How I Met Your Mothership) and performs solo sketch on a regular basis, and in 2014 was nominated for the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Fresh Meat showcase. He also performs fake ‘B-movie’ improv in ‘Concentrated Evil’ with his troupe members Aimee Ambroziak (The Second City Tour Co), and Guy Bradford (‘Rulers of the Universe’), in festivals such as the Big City Improv Festival and the Ottawa Improv festival. He likes vodka and sitting down.

A graduate of both the Second City’s Conservatory and Longform Programs, Emily spent a year with Second City’s House Ensemble. She is a member of the Sketchersons, the Bad Dog Featured Players, and recently appeared on AMI’s sketch TV show Blindsighted. Shout out to her family, friends, and, most of all, her beloved cat Daisy.

Samantha co-created a monthly show, See You Next Tuesday, with all proceeds going to the Redwood Women’s Shelter. Samantha is a graduate of The Bad Dog Theatre Featured Players, The Second City Conservatory Program and The Bishop’s University Theatre Program.

Tom made his Second City debut in Miracle on Mercer Street, Improv Showdown and is currently in The House Company. Tom is an alumni of the Bad Dog Featured Players, the creator of Kinsey Fail: Toronto’s only queer Improv troupe and a member of The Sketchersons. Tom is also half of the award-winning sketch duo Tom & Erica. His sketches have been featured on Funny or Die and Comedy Minute. Most recently Tom produced and performed in 2 sold out performances of A Sketch Comedy Extravaganza Eleganza at Buddies In Bad Times Theatre. He is currently workshoping his new one man show \slaNG/. When he is not on stage he works as a producer credits include: The Combustion Festival, Blockbuster Week, Hookup, Night’s Out, Kinsey Fail, #THEPARTYSHOW, The Pageant, and the both the sold-out hits: the 420 Comedy Fest and PROUD + FUNNY.

Gillian has been performing in Sunday Night Live for the last two years, and Sundays with the Sketchersons have become her favourite day of the week. Gillian is an alumnus of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto where she studied musical theatre, as well as a graduate of the Toronto Second City Conservatory Program where she studied improvisation and sketch comedy. She’s performed in such comedy festivals as Toronto and Montreal Sketchfest, and JFL42. Gillian is a member of the sketch troupe Panacea which was listed as The Top Ten Comedy Shows of 2015 in both Torontoist and NOW Magazine. Gillian is a Co-Producer of the the weekly standup and variety show Joke Party, which takes place at Comedy Bar every Wednesday.

Tricia is originally from the east coast, studied sketch, improvisation and musical improvisation at The Second City Training Center in Toronto and Chicago, as well as iO Chicago. Tricia is the Artistic Producer of the award winning theatre company, Tweed & Company Theatre, where she has written and composed several new Canadian musical works. Tricia can be seen currently as a member of the ensemble in The Second City Theatrical, “She The People”.

As 1/2 of the musical comedy duo, Adele has become a spokesperson for a hipster soda brand, performed in NY Funny Songs, and opened for Myq Kaplan at the Vegan Food & Drink Fest. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program and currently co-produces/stars in Gilmore GirlProv at Comedy Bar. She is so grateful to be a part of The Sketchersons, and would, as always, like to thank Julia Mathieson for writing this bio for her.
